Mission
ABOUT
Originally from Iowa, Emily Williams-Wheeler has lived in Fargo for over 20 years. After completing an internship in California in 1984, she learned, "You can visit the coasts, but you can't take the Midwest out of this gal."
She graduated with distinction from Iowa State University with a degree in Interior Design. Her career as a professional artist began in 1990. She wrote and illustrated 6 books (no longer in print), designed greeting cards, and made jewelry. Her first art show was in 1996. From there, things have continued to evolve. "Art is so inspiring, not only for the viewer but for the artist as well. I just love to paint."
Color is her strength and her passion. The alluring quality of the colors and texture are what captivate the viewer.
You can find her art in homes and businesses from coast to coast and even in South Korea!
MISSION
Not only do I believe art enhances all aspects of my world, I believe creating and interpreting art make us better thinkers. Studio e offers "Art Enrichment and Creative Thinking" classes for children ages 5-15 years. Teaching and encouraging children to think creatively provides an opportunity for growth and development in problem solving.
Sharing my love for color, texture, intrigue, and wit is my goal. Whether I deliver through my own artwork or by teaching children and adults, I meet my goal each and every day.
